Exercices B1 : pratiquer le conditionnel présent en anglais

Ces exercices s’appuient sur le cours consacré au conditionnel présent en anglais avec would. Entraînez-vous à exprimer des souhaits, des hypothèses et des demandes polies.

Exercice 1 — Complétez avec would

Complétez chaque phrase en utilisant would suivi de la forme correcte du verbe entre parenthèses.

1. If I had more time, I ___ (travel) around the world.
2. She ___ (be) very happy if you called her tonight.
3. We ___ (not accept) an offer like that under any circumstances.
4. ___ you (help) me carry these bags, please?

Exercice 2 — Transformez au conditionnel présent

Réécrivez chaque phrase en la transformant au conditionnel présent avec would, en conservant le sens de la phrase d'origine.

1. I want to buy a bigger house. (If I had enough money…)
2. He doesn't speak to her because he is angry. (If he weren't angry…)
3. They don't go on holiday because it is too expensive. (If it weren't so expensive…)
4. Can you close the window? (polite request with would)

Exercice 3 — Corrigez les erreurs

Chaque phrase contient une erreur liée à l'emploi du conditionnel présent avec would. Réécrivez la phrase entière correctement.

1. If I would have more money, I would travel to Japan.
2. She would to help you if you asked her nicely.
3. Would you liked to come to the party with us?
4. They wouldn't accepted the job even if the salary was higher.
