Exercice 1 — ¿Cuál es la respuesta más apropiada?

Lee cada situación y elige la expresión de desacuerdo más matizada y natural en inglés.

  1. Tu colega dice que trabajar desde casa siempre reduce la productividad. Quieres mostrar desacuerdo de forma respetuosa. ¿Qué dices?
  2. Tu jefe sugiere que el equipo no necesita más formación este año. Quieres disentir sin ser confrontacional. ¿Qué dices?
  3. Un amigo afirma que aprender idiomas de adulto es prácticamente imposible. ¿Cómo expresas tu desacuerdo con matiz?
  4. Tu compañero cree que reunirse en persona es siempre mejor que las videollamadas. ¿Cómo muestras una postura diferente con educación?

  2. That is a fair point, though I wonder if some additional training might still be beneficial for the team.

Exercice 2 — Completa el diálogo con la expresión adecuada

Completa las intervenciones del hablante B usando las expresiones de desacuerdo matizado del curso. Escribe una frase completa y natural en inglés.

  1. A: I think social media is mostly harmful for teenagers.
    B: ___ (Muestra acuerdo parcial pero introduce un punto de vista diferente sobre sus beneficios educativos.)
  2. A: Reducing the budget is the only way to solve this problem.
    B: ___ (Reconoce la lógica del argumento pero sugiere que hay otras soluciones posibles.)
  3. A: Everyone should follow the same strict schedule at work.

Exercice 3 — Reformula el desacuerdo con más matiz

Las siguientes frases expresan desacuerdo de forma demasiado directa o brusca. Reformúlalas en inglés usando las expresiones matizadas del curso, manteniendo el mismo significado pero con un tono más respetuoso.

  1. You are wrong. Cutting costs will not improve team morale.
  2. I totally disagree. This marketing strategy will never work.
  3. No, you are mistaken. Working longer hours does not make you more productive.
  4. I completely disagree. Offering discounts always damages the brand image.
Correction

  1. I see your point, but I am not sure cutting costs will actually improve team morale in the long run.
  2. That is an interesting approach, though I have some doubts about whether this marketing strategy will deliver the results we are hoping for.
  3. I understand where you are coming from, but I feel that working longer hours does not necessarily lead to greater productivity.
  4. I take your point about brand image, although I think offering discounts does not always have to damage it if they are positioned carefully.
