Exercice 1 — Concordance des temps au discours indirect
Complétez chaque phrase en mettant le verbe entre parenthèses au temps qui convient dans le discours indirect.
- She told me that she ___ (finish) her report the day before.
- He said that he ___ (be) tired and that he ___ (want) to leave early.
- They announced that the meeting ___ (take) place the following Monday.
- My teacher explained that the students ___ (not submit) their essays on time.
Correction
- She told me that she had finished her report the day before.

Exercice 2 — Repérez les erreurs de concordance
Chacune des phrases suivantes contient une erreur de concordance des temps. Réécrivez la phrase entière en la corrigeant.
- If she had studied harder, she will have passed the exam.
- He asked me where do I work at that time.
- They were watching TV when the lights will go out suddenly.
- She said that she will call me as soon as she arrives home.
Correction
- If she had studied harder, she would have passed the exam.

Exercice 3 — Choisissez la forme correcte
Pour chaque phrase, choisissez la proposition qui respecte la concordance des temps en anglais.
- He didn't know that the train ___ already ___.
- If you ___ more carefully, you ___ that mistake.
- She told her colleague that she ___ the project by Friday.
- I was sure that he ___ the truth all along.
Correction
- B) had / departed — He didn't know that the train had already departed.
