Exercice 1 — Quel temps fait-il ? — Choisissez la bonne réponse

Pour chaque situation décrite, choisissez la phrase en anglais qui correspond le mieux.

  1. Le ciel est sans nuages et le soleil brille. Comment dit-on cela en anglais ?
  2. Il pleut beaucoup et vous avez besoin d'un parapluie. Quelle phrase convient ?
  3. La température est très basse et il y a de la neige. Comment exprime-t-on cela ?
  4. Le ciel est couvert de nuages mais il ne pleut pas encore. Quelle phrase choisissez-vous ?
Correction

  1. It is sunny and clear today.
  2. It is raining heavily outside.
  3. It is freezing and snowing today.
  4. It is overcast but dry today.

Exercice 2 — Associez le mot à sa définition météo

Associez chaque mot ou expression anglais à la phrase qui le définit ou le décrit correctement.

  1. Thunder
  2. Fog
  3. Hail
  4. Breeze
Correction

  1. It is the loud noise you hear during a storm.
  2. It is a thick cloud close to the ground that makes it hard to see.
  3. It is small balls of ice that fall from the sky during a storm.
  4. It is a light and gentle wind that feels pleasant.

Exercice 3 — Complétez les phrases sur la météo

Complétez chaque phrase avec le mot ou l'expression qui convient parmi le vocabulaire vu dans le cours.

  1. It is very ___ outside today, so you should wear a warm coat and gloves.
  2. The weather forecast says it will ___ tomorrow, so do not forget your umbrella.
  3. It is ___ and sunny, which is perfect weather for going to the beach.
  4. There is a lot of ___ in the sky, so it might rain later this afternoon.
