Exercice 1 — Les temps du passé en contexte
Complétez chaque phrase avec la forme correcte du verbe entre parenthèses (Simple Past, Past Continuous ou Past Perfect).
- When I ___ (arrive) at the station, the train had already left.
- She ___ (read) a book when the phone suddenly rang.
- By the time they reached the restaurant, the chef ___ (close) the kitchen.
- We ___ (walk) through the park when it started to rain heavily.

Exercice 2 — Repérer et corriger les erreurs
Chaque phrase contient une erreur liée aux temps du passé ou au vocabulaire émotionnel. Réécrivez la phrase correctement.
- I was feeling overwhelming when I heard the unexpected news.
- He already finished his homework before his mother asked him.
- They were argue loudly when the teacher walked into the classroom.
- She was so relief when she found her lost passport in her bag.

Exercice 3 — Transformer pour nuancer le récit
Reformulez chaque phrase en utilisant le temps du passé indiqué entre crochets, afin d'exprimer la nuance demandée.
- I finished dinner. Then my friend called me. [Past Perfect + Simple Past]
- She worked on her project. Suddenly the power went out. [Past Continuous + Simple Past]
- They visited Paris. After that, they fell in love with Europe. [Past Perfect + Simple Past]
- He listened to music. At that moment, he realised he had lost his keys. [Past Continuous + Simple Past]
