Estos ejercicios te ayudarán a dominar los matices entre el simple past, el present perfect y los tiempos continuos en inglés. Pon a prueba tu precisión gramatical a nivel C1.

Exercice 1 — Completa con el tiempo verbal correcto

Elige la forma verbal adecuada y escribe la frase completa en el hueco indicado. Presta atención al contexto temporal de cada oración.

  1. By the time she arrived, we ___ (wait) for over two hours. (use past perfect continuous)
  2. I ___ (not see) him since we graduated from university. (use present perfect)
  3. She ___ (work) on the report all morning when her computer suddenly crashed. (use past continuous)
  4. They ___ (already / submit) the proposal before the deadline was moved forward. (use past perfect)
Correction

  1. By the time she arrived, we had been waiting for over two hours.
  2. I have not seen him since we graduated from university.
  3. She was working on the report all morning when her computer suddenly crashed.
  4. They had already submitted the proposal before the deadline was moved forward.

Exercice 2 — Transforma las frases según el contexto indicado

Reescribe cada frase completa utilizando el tiempo verbal entre paréntesis, adaptándola al nuevo contexto sin cambiar el sentido esencial.

  1. He finished the project last night. (Reformula destacando que el resultado afecta al presente → present perfect)
  2. I read three books during the summer. (Reformula para indicar una experiencia de vida sin referencia temporal → present perfect)
  3. They were discussing the contract when the power went out. (Reformula para destacar la duración antes de un punto de referencia pasado → past perfect continuous)
  4. She studies French every evening. (Reformula para indicar que la acción está en progreso en este momento → present continuous)
Correction

  1. He has finished the project, so it is ready to be reviewed.
  2. I have read three books that completely changed my perspective on life.
  3. They had been discussing the contract for hours before the power went out.
  4. She is studying French right now and cannot be disturbed.

Exercice 3 — Corrige los errores de tiempo verbal

Cada frase contiene un error en el uso de los tiempos verbales. Identifica el error y reescribe la frase completa de forma correcta.

  1. I have seen that film last Saturday and I thought it was brilliant.
  2. She is working at this company since 2018 and she loves her job.
  3. When I arrived at the station, the train already left and I missed my connection.
  4. He was understanding the concept much better after the teacher explained it twice.
