Exercice 1 — ¿Qué expresión usarías?

Lee cada situación y elige la expresión más adecuada para pedir una aclaración en inglés.

Correction

  1. Could you repeat that, please?
  2. So, you mean that the meeting is on Friday?
  3. What do you mean by that?
  4. Could you clarify the last part, please?

Exercice 2 — Completa el diálogo

Completa cada intervención del diálogo con la expresión correcta para aclarar la información. Escribe una frase completa en inglés.

  1. A: The event starts at half past seven. B: ___
  2. A: You need to submit the report before the deadline. B: ___
  3. A: The new policy applies to all employees from next month. B: ___
  4. A: Take the second exit and then turn left at the roundabout. B: ___
Correction

  1. So, you mean that the event starts at 7:30?
  2. Could you repeat that? I want to make sure I understand the deadline correctly.
  3. So, you mean that everyone in the company will be affected starting next month?
  4. Could you clarify that? Do I turn left after the second exit or after the roundabout?

Exercice 3 — Reformula la petición de aclaración

Reescribe cada frase usando una expresión diferente para pedir aclaración, manteniendo el mismo significado. La frase debe estar completa y en inglés.

  1. Could you say that again, please?
  2. If I understand correctly, you are saying that the class is cancelled today.
  3. I am not sure I follow — could you explain that in a different way?
  4. So, you are telling me that the price includes taxes?
Correction

  1. Could you repeat that, please?
  2. So, you mean that the class is cancelled today?
  3. Could you clarify what you mean by that?
  4. If I understand correctly, you mean that the price already includes taxes.
