Ces exercices vous permettent de mettre en pratique le vocabulaire des opinions vu dans le cours : exprimer un point de vue, marquer un accord ou introduire une nuance en anglais.

Exercice 1 : Choisir la bonne expression d'opinion

Pour chaque situation, choisissez l'expression qui convient le mieux pour donner son avis en anglais.

1. You want to give your personal opinion in a formal discussion. Which phrase is most appropriate?
   • I reckon it's fine.
   • From my perspective, this approach raises several concerns.
   • I dunno, maybe it works?
   • It's obvious, isn't it?
2. You partially agree with a colleague but want to add a reservation. Which sentence best expresses this?
   • I completely disagree with everything you said.
   • That's a fair point, although I'm not entirely convinced by the results.
   • I suppose you're wrong about that.
   • You're absolutely right and there's nothing to add.
3. You want to express a strong personal conviction. Which option is the most suitable?
   • I'm not sure it matters.
   • It could be argued either way.
   • I strongly believe that investing in education is essential for society.
   • People sometimes think it's important.
4. You disagree politely without dismissing the other person's view. Which phrase works best?
   • That's completely wrong and you know it.
   • I see where you're coming from, but I tend to think differently on this matter.
   • No one could ever agree with that.
   • It's not worth discussing further.

Exercice 2 : Associer l'expression à sa fonction

Associez chaque expression anglaise à la fonction communicative qu'elle remplit dans un échange d'opinions.

1. As far as I'm concerned, remote work has clear advantages.
2. I can see your point, though I'd argue the situation is more complex than that.
3. I wholeheartedly agree that access to healthcare should be universal.
4. I'm afraid I have to disagree with the idea that competition always drives progress.

Exercice 3 : Compléter avec le bon mot d'opinion
