Exercice 1 — Choisir la bonne expression d'opinion

Pour chaque situation, choisissez l'expression qui convient le mieux pour donner son avis en anglais.

  1. You want to give your personal opinion in a formal discussion. Which phrase is most appropriate?
  2. You partially agree with a colleague but want to add a reservation. Which sentence best expresses this?
  3. You want to express a strong personal conviction. Which option is the most suitable?
  4. You disagree politely without dismissing the other person's view. Which phrase works best?
Correction

  1. From my perspective, this approach raises several concerns.
  2. That's a fair point, although I'm not entirely convinced by the results.
  3. I strongly believe that investing in education is essential for society.
  4. I see where you're coming from, but I tend to think differently on this matter.

Exercice 2 — Associer l'expression à sa fonction

Associez chaque expression anglaise à la fonction communicative qu'elle remplit dans un échange d'opinions.

  1. As far as I'm concerned, remote work has clear advantages.
  2. I can see your point, though I'd argue the situation is more complex than that.
  3. I wholeheartedly agree that access to healthcare should be universal.
  4. I'm afraid I have to disagree with the idea that competition always drives progress.

Exercice 3 — Compléter avec le bon mot d'opinion

Complétez chaque phrase avec le mot ou groupe de mots manquant pour exprimer correctement une opinion en anglais.
