Exercice 1 — Complétez les inversions stylistiques

Complétez chaque phrase en choisissant la forme verbale correcte pour réaliser l'inversion stylistique appropriée.

1. Never ___ such a remarkable performance on that stage.
2. Rarely ___ so much courage in the face of adversity.
3. Not only ___ the report late, but she also omitted key data.
4. Hardly ___ down when the phone rang again.

Exercice 2 — Transformez les phrases en inversions stylistiques

Réécrivez chaque phrase en appliquant une inversion stylistique à partir de l'adverbe ou de l'expression mis en évidence, comme vu dans le cours.

1. She had never seen such breathtaking scenery before. (Never…)
2. He not only mastered the theory but also excelled in practice. (Not only…)
3. They had scarcely arrived at the venue when the storm broke out. (Scarcely…)
4. She little realised how profoundly that decision would shape her future. (Little…)

Exercice 3 — Corrigez les erreurs d'inversion stylistique

Chaque phrase contient une erreur dans la construction de l'inversion stylistique. Identifiez et corrigez-la en réécrivant la phrase entière correctement.

1. Never she has spoken with such eloquence and conviction before.
2. Not only did he failed to apologise, but he also repeated the same mistake.
3. Seldom they have been confronted with such a complex ethical dilemma.
4. No sooner had the curtain risen than the audience began applauding enthusiastically.
