Exercice 1 — Choisissez la bonne expression
Pour chaque situation, choisissez l'expression la plus appropriée parmi les propositions.
- You accidentally step on someone's foot on the bus. What do you say?
- You want to get past someone blocking the doorway. What do you say?
- You arrive late to an important meeting at work. What is the most formal expression?
- You interrupt someone while they are speaking. What do you say?

- Sorry!
- Excuse me, can I get through?
- I apologize for being late.
- Excuse me, sorry to interrupt.
Exercice 2 — Associez la situation à l'expression
Associez chaque situation (colonne A) à l'expression anglaise qui convient le mieux (colonne B).
- You bump into a stranger in the street.
- You want to attract a waiter's attention in a restaurant.
- You made a serious mistake at work and speak to your manager.
- You sneeze loudly in a quiet library.
Correction
- Sorry, I didn't see you!
- Excuse me, can I order, please?
- I apologize for the mistake.
- Sorry about that!
Exercice 3 — Complétez les phrases
Complétez chaque phrase avec Sorry, Excuse me ou I apologize selon le contexte.
