Exercice 1 — Complétez avec la bonne structure
Complétez chaque phrase en choisissant entre should have, could have ou must have, puis conjuguez correctement le verbe entre parenthèses.
- You ___ (study) harder before the exam. You knew it was difficult!
- She ___ (take) the earlier train. Then she wouldn't have been late.
- He looks exhausted. He ___ (work) all night to finish that report.
- They ___ (call) us before coming. We weren't ready at all.
Correction
- You should have studied harder before the exam.
- She could have taken the earlier train.
- He must have worked all night to finish that report.
- They should have called us before coming.
Exercice 2 — Transformez les phrases
Réécrivez chaque phrase en utilisant la structure indiquée entre parenthèses pour exprimer un regret, un reproche ou une déduction sur le passé.
- It was a mistake not to bring an umbrella. (should have)
- I'm sure she didn't hear the alarm. (must have + negative)
- It was possible for him to ask for help, but he didn't. (could have)
- It was wrong of you to leave without saying goodbye. (should have + negative)
Correction
- You should have brought an umbrella.

Exercice 3 — Corrigez les erreurs
Chaque phrase contient une erreur liée à l'utilisation de should have, could have ou must have. Réécrivez la phrase correctement en entier.
- She should have study more before the test.
- They could have been arrive earlier if they had left on time.
- He must have forgot his keys because he rang the doorbell.
- You should have not said that to her, it was very hurtful.
