Ces exercices vous aident à pratiquer les quatre façons d’exprimer le futur en anglais vues dans le cours : will, be going to, le présent continu et le présent simple.

Exercice 1 — Complétez avec la bonne forme du futur

Choisissez entre will, be going to, le présent continu ou le présent simple pour compléter chaque phrase.

  1. I think it ___ (rain) tomorrow, so bring an umbrella.
  2. Look at those dark clouds! It ___ (rain) very soon.
  3. We ___ (meet) our friends at the café this Saturday at 3 p.m.
  4. The train ___ (leave) at 8:15 every morning according to the timetable.
Correction

  1. I think it will rain tomorrow, so bring an umbrella.
  2. Look at those dark clouds! It is going to rain very soon.
  3. We are meeting our friends at the café this Saturday at 3 p.m.
  4. The train leaves at 8:15 every morning according to the timetable.

Exercice 2 — Transformez les phrases selon l'intention donnée

Réécrivez chaque phrase en utilisant la forme du futur indiquée entre parenthèses, en conservant le sens général.

  1. She has decided to study medicine next year. (be going to)
  2. I have a spontaneous decision: I answer the phone. (will)
  3. They have already booked a table for Friday night. (présent continu)
  4. According to the schedule, the shop opens at 9 a.m. on Mondays. (présent simple)
Correction

  1. She is going to study medicine next year.
  2. I will answer the phone.
  3. They are having dinner at the restaurant on Friday night.
  4. The shop opens at 9 a.m. on Mondays.

Exercice 3 — Corrigez les erreurs dans les phrases

Chaque phrase contient une erreur dans l'utilisation du futur. Réécrivez la phrase correctement.

  1. He is going to probably forget his keys, I think.
  2. Look! That cyclist will fall off his bike!
  3. They will flying to Rome next Monday — their tickets are already booked.
  4. The concert is going to start at 7 p.m. according to the official programme.
