Estos ejercicios te ayudarán a consolidar el uso avanzado del subjuntivo en inglés (were, submit, be) en registros formales, tal como se presenta en el curso C1.

Exercice 1 — Completa con la forma correcta del subjuntivo

Escribe la forma verbal correcta del subjuntivo (were, submit o be) en cada hueco para completar la frase.

1. The committee recommends that every candidate ___ (submit) their portfolio before the deadline.
2. If she ___ (be) more experienced, she would be considered for the senior position.
3. It is essential that the report ___ (be) reviewed by the board before publication.
4. The director insisted that all staff ___ (submit) their evaluations by Friday.

Exercice 2 — Transforma las frases al registro formal con subjuntivo

Reescribe cada frase usando el subjuntivo formal en inglés (were, submit o be), manteniendo el sentido original.

1. We need him to send the documents immediately. (usar 'submit' en subjuntivo)
2. Even though he isn't available, they want his opinion. (usar 'were' en subjuntivo)
3. They want the policy to be changed before the meeting. (usar 'be' en subjuntivo tras 'demand')
4. She isn't in charge, but if she were, she would approve the proposal. (reformular con 'were' invertido)

Exercice 3 — Corrige los errores de subjuntivo

Cada frase contiene un error relacionado con el uso del subjuntivo en inglés. Reescribe la frase completa y correctamente.

1. The professor demands that every student submits a written reflection by Monday.
2. If he was more fluent in English, he would have gotten the promotion.
3. It is vital that the contract is signed before the end of the quarter.
4. Was she to resign, the entire project would be jeopardized.
