Estos ejercicios te ayudarán a consolidar el uso de los marcadores de modalidad en inglés trabajados en el curso. Pon a prueba tu dominio de can, must, might y otros modales en contextos reales.

Exercice 1 — Rellena el hueco con el marcador de modalidad correcto

Completa cada oración eligiendo el marcador de modalidad más adecuado según el contexto (can, must, might, should, needn't).

  1. You ___ (obligation) wear a seatbelt at all times — it's the law.
  2. She ___ (possibility, uncertain) be at the library; I'm not sure where she went.
  3. You ___ (absence of obligation) bring a gift — your presence is more than enough.
  4. He ___ (ability) speak three languages fluently before the age of twelve.
Correction

  1. You must wear a seatbelt at all times — it's the law.
  2. She might be at the library; I'm not sure where she went.
  3. You needn't bring a gift — your presence is more than enough.

Exercice 2 — Transforma las oraciones usando el marcador de modalidad indicado

Reescribe cada oración completa utilizando el marcador de modalidad entre paréntesis, sin cambiar el sentido original.

  1. It is possible that they will cancel the meeting. (might)
  2. I am certain that this is the right answer. (must)
  3. It would be a good idea for you to apologize to her. (should)
  4. It is forbidden for students to use their phones during the exam. (must not)
Correction

  1. They might cancel the meeting.
  2. This must be the right answer.
  3. You should apologize to her.
  4. Students must not use their phones during the exam.

Exercice 3 — Corrige el error en cada oración

Cada oración contiene un error relacionado con el uso de los marcadores de modalidad. Reescribe la oración completa y corregida.
